Game Day in Pictures
Last weekend's game was a bit of a contrast to the season opener. In the first game there were twice as many people and it was a gorgeous day. Last Saturday was cold and wet. There were more ponchos last weekend, though there was one guy without a shirt on in La Barra Brava. The one thing that stayed the same was the fact that the other team was well represented by their supporters. The game was sloppy so that leads to sloppy pictures. Enjoy!
This was the common scene in the stands. As the game started, more and more fans sat in the rain but for the most part you saw fans under shelter.
Unlike the last game I could actually hear the chants from La Barra Brava. This was interesting because at certain points in the game, especially when the Chivas fans were getting louder, our side of the stadium joined in on the other side's chants. It made for a pretty good feeling of solidarity.
The aforementioned Chivas fans. Needless to say that they were very upset when the refs didn't call the free kick a goal. Oh well, there's always next time. They should be commended for the support of their team (though I'm not sure if they support Chivas-Guadalejara or Chivas USA).
The greatest sight after a goal is that gorgeous flag.
Now for the team:
National team goalscorer: John Wilson & Clyde Simms
Ben Olsen

Reserve player: Christian Gomez
Brandon Prideaux

Man of the Match:
Jaime Moreno
